انشئت كلية الهندسة سنة 1999 م ومنذ دلك التاريخ والكلية تتطور وتتوسع رويدا رويدا حيث تشرف على الكلية نخبة من اساتذة الهندسة من ذوي الخبرة في التعليم الهندسي يسعون للارتقاء بمستوى الطلبة ويبذلون جهودآ كبيرة من اجل النهوض بالمستوى العلمي والاكاديمي للكلية خصوصا وان العالم يشهد تطورا سريعا في التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي ، مستندا الى التطورات التي تحصل في علم المعلوماتية والاتصالات والتي انعكست بدورها على التخصصات العلمية كافة حيث بدأت الكثير من الجامعات العالمية باستحداث تخصصات جديدة تتواكب مع هذاالتطور العلمي وبما يلبي حاجات المجتمع . ولغرض مواكبة هذا التطور للتعليم العالي في ليبيا فأن كلية الهندسة تلبي الطموح المستقبلي لتشمل التخصصات الحديثة في العلوم الهندسية بما يضمن مواكبة التوجهات العالمية والتي تنسجم مع حاجتنا المستقبلية آخذين بعين الاعتبارتوفر الإمكانات المادية والبشرية بحدودها الدنيا والتي تضمن تحقيق الأهداف التي نطمح لها ونسعى لتحقيقها بما يخدم مسيرة التنمية وعجلة النمو في وطننا

PCA-HOG Descriptors for Face Recognition in very Small Images

Abstract - Face recognition has become an important issue in many applications such as security systems, credit card verification and criminals identification. In tiny images people appear very small, but we may still be interested in detecting faces for recognition or analysis. In this paper we take advantage of both HOG and PCA for object recognition in very small images, where firstly we use HOG to extract features from the images at different scales and then apply PCA to reduce the dimensionality of these feature vectors.

Investigation of the Continuous Wavelet Transform Method for Use with Late Time Response Analysis of Concealed on Body Threat Objects

Abstract- investigation of the use of continues wavelet transform (CWT) method to late time response analysis for detecting on body concealed threat objects proposed in this paper. The transient backscattered mechanisms of on body concealed weapons target signatures are studied using the wavelet analysis technique in which signal processing algorithm is developed and the Morlet wavelet applied to extract and analyses the re-radiated transient response of concealed targets. Experimental work was done by using simple and complex objects such as wire and handgun, Wavelet analyses of backscattered data from various objects are presented, the results show that the Continues wavelet transform (CWT) has the ability to detect and discriminate between the hidden-on body objects.

Nonlinearity Amplifier Effects on QPSK Technique

In this paper, signal compression due to the nonlinearity of RF Amplifier in Quadratuer-Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) is examined for a specific power amplifier (PA) nonlinearity model, by using simulation. One of the most important aspects in the future radio communication services is the use of spectrally efficient modulation schemes to increase the system capacity. Modulation schemes such as QPSK with an appropriate pulse shaping is spectrally efficient, but this type of modulation presents variations in amplitude and phase due to filtering. A matched Root Raised Cosine (RRC) filtering and an ideal Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel are used in baseband equivalent simulation model, in order to isolate the effects in Solid Stat power Amplifier.
