The Journal of Communication Research at the Faculty of media – Zaytuna University receives the accreditation of the National Classification of Libyan scientific journals.

In an academic achievement added to the credit of the Faculty of media at Zaytuna University, Dr. Ibrahim Salem Ishtiwi, dean of the faculty and chairman of the editorial board of the Journal of communication research, received the certificate of accreditation of the journal as a scientific journal classified within the directory of Libyan scientific journals (DOLJ), during the official event held by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research on Tuesday morning to announce the first National Classification of scientific journals in Libya.

The Journal of Communication Research, which is issued by the Faculty of media – Zaytuna University, is the first scientific journal specialized in the field of media and communication at the level of Libya to be included in the National Classification of accredited scientific journals, and it is also the first scientific journal accredited at the level of Faculties of Zaytuna University, reflecting the quality of research production adopted by the Journal, and its strict adherence to the standards of academic publication recognized locally and internationally.

The event was attended by H. E. The Minister of higher education and scientific research, the undersecretary of the Ministry of technical and technical education, the director general of the Libyan Commission for scientific research, and the president of the Libyan Academy, where he announced the approval of 67 scientific journals out of 189 applications submitted, after undergoing a thorough review according to scientific standards, including content quality, diversity of researchers, and commitment to publication ethics.

In his speech during the event, H. E. The minister stressed the importance of having a national directory of scientific journals that contributes to the organization of the academic publishing sector and enhances the quality of scientific research in Libya, stressing that this classification represents a strategic step towards achieving quality standards and academic accreditation.

This achievement is the culmination of continuous scientific efforts, which contributed to the consolidation of the culture of academic research, and confirms the leading and institutional position that distinguishes the Faculty of media at Al-Zaytuna University on the national scientific arena.
